The one word to help you dominate on social media in 2018!
We've all heard someone ask this question..."How do you eat an elephant?" The answer...one bite at a time. Leveraging Facebook for your business is no different.
Facebook just released BIG changes to the news feed and it's going to make a huge impact on the way our businesses leverage social media.
For many, social media has been something they chose to just farm out to someone else. They pay someone to blog for them, create content for them and essentially act as them on their social media platform.
As of now...you can no longer entrust someone else to be your voice to your people. It DOES NOT work. Pay them to run ads, but not post for you.
Your personal page is more important than ever. The new changes are emphasizing conversations happening in the comments. They're emphasizing friends that you're in groups with together. And they are emphasizing keeping close friends and family members in your newsfeed.
These changes will remove some of the native paid ads from showing up as often.
In a nutshell...Facebook is forcing us to go back to being relational with people! I've been preaching this for 3 years now and it's finally happening. If you don't love people, you will run yourself into the ground.
So, what is it going to take for you to find success on social media this year? It comes down to one word...
INTENTIONAL
You can not fake your way through Facebook anymore. You must engage your community!
With that being said, what does that look like?
1. Friend all of your past clients on Facebook! No exceptions. Do it.
2. Create a list of them so you can keep up with all of them quickly and intentionally. (see pic below)
3. Interact with them intentionally. Ask about their family. Comment on their photos. If they are good business people, share their posts.
4. Create a list of other business people that serve as potential referral partners for you. Again, be intentional. Comment, share, engage.
5. GO LIVE! Guys, if you are an entrepreneur, what are you doing making excuses for why live video isn't for you?! You're freaking nuts! Just do it. (if you are struggling, I can help, reach out to me)
