Is overthinking killing your marketing?
Overthinking is a powerful tool in certain areas of your business…
Marketing is not one of them.
If you are overthinking your marketing, most likely, it’s because you’re living in the past.
Because in the past, Marketing should be perfect, right?
It represents your business…so, duh, or course I want it to be perfect.
But that is old school.
Your future clients aren’t looking for perfect anymore.
They are craving personal.
They want to work with a REAL person.
I’ll even venture to say that most people want to work with someone that does make mistakes.
No, maybe not mistakes in the process of the way you sell a house or work a loan.
But as a person. Because that’s real life!
They also want to connect to the person they choose to work with.
People don’t seek out “the best” anymore, they seek out the one they connect to or remember the most.
Here are three simple ways to stop overthinking…
#1 - Start Documenting w/o the Fear of Posting.
So many of the Realtors and LOs that I work with get caught up in having to post it or it “being live” that they end up doing nothing.
Stop overthinking this. Record yourself. Take pictures.
Document the day!
Then consider posting later.
#2 - Stop Thinking About Yourself.
If you only post what you like…
If you only post what you’re comfortable with…
You miss way more people that you catch.
Stop letting what you like keep you from posting what they want.
This is causing most of you more neglect to your social media audience than anything else.
#3 - Focus in M.E.V.
Keep it simple!

Certain people will never appreciate what you’re doing.
Certain people will never be happy for you.
Certain people are simply negative and pessimistic all the time, no matter what.
Go find others doing what you want to do and let them be your encouragement.

You can’t increase your audiences engagement on social media if you aren’t willing to engage first.
Stop window shopping on social media.
Like posts, comment on posts, share things, tag people, private message friends…be active. They will return the favor. I promise.
