Content Compounding Revealed - Part Two: YouTube & Thumbnail
I hope you’re ready!
Because this is about to rock your world and create a presence online like you’ve never thought possible!
In the last blog post, we talked about recording your video. I gave you some simple tips to follow because this starts off the whole process! If you can’t muster up the nerve to do video, turn back now. Ha.
Now it’s time to get this party started!
Have you ever bought a book? Well, for some of you, maybe you read it first, but if you’re like me, it goes directly on a bookshelf! :)
That bookshelf grows over time and holds incredible words, tips, ideas, and processes that others have discovered to help our lives be better.
Well, I want you to begin to see YouTube as your digital bookshelf. When you record video or go live, this is where you also choose to put it!
YouTube is an incredible platform full of people looking for EXACTLY WHAT YOU DO!
Why not give yourself a chance to show up in front of them?
Once this makes sense, you’re going to create your channel if you don’t have one already. If you don’t know how, Google it. You’ll find tons of videos with people who talk differently than you and they are a joy to watch and listen to.
After that, you’re going to go into Canva. From here, you’re going to click “New Design” and type in YouTube Thumbnail in the search bar.
There you will find hundreds of templates already pre-sized for YouTube. I love that it takes the guesswork completely out of it!
From there, look through the templates until you see something that catches your eye. Once you click on it, you can begin to change the colors, change out pictures, add your logo, and so much more!
Once you have the thumbnail the way you want it, download it as a PNG file and it’s now ready to upload with your video to YouTube.
Upload your video to YouTube and underneath where it will begin to upload, you’ll be able to add a custom thumbnail. You can also do this completely after the fact with old videos as well.
Now, you have the beginnings of a beautiful YouTube channel. It looks professional. It’s eye-catching. People will see you as the professional that you are!
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. And stay tuned…part three is coming next! How to create quote graphics from the videos you are creating.
Talk to you soon! :)
