Content Compounding Revealed - Part One: Record Your Video
Are you tired of posting bad content yet?
It doesn’t look good…it doesn’t sound like you…it’s probably not even worth it…
This is why I created CONTENT COMPOUNDING.
You needed a way to help your voice be heard, but without all the effort that typically comes with it!
Over the next several blogs, I’m going to show you how if you will just commit to DOING VIDEO, you can content compound your way to so much content for your brand and business.
Why am I doing writing this blog you might ask?
Because nothing we do for our clients is rocket science, it’s simply because most of you don’t want to do it yourself! So I am here to teach you how to do it without having to pay me, ha! But many of you will still choose to… :)
The first step in Content Compounding is to record your video. Now, that sounds simple, but as many of you know, it’s not always that easy. Let me give you a few tips…
#1 - Don’t overthink it.
Don’t try to do something that no one has ever seen…that way of thinking is going to stall your creativity and keep you from moving forward. It’s also not really possible…
What is the most original is your people seeing YOU on video. Period. Keep it simple.
Talk about the needs of your ideal client.
Talk about your personal passions.
Show people that you're an expert.
You got this!
#2 - Don’t be “over professional.”
Your friends will be turned off by an over the top version of you!
BE YOU. BE YOU. BE YOU.
Now, there’s obviously a difference between unprofessional and professional. But don’t feel the need to go drop two grand on a video to make you look good. In my opinion, it’s a waste of time to start there!
In the world of video, two things matter more than anything else, the video quality (which any newish smartphone does) and audio quality. Keep it simple.
#3 - Go live on Facebook.
To ensure you don’t do take after take, go live on Facebook to originate your video. This will do a few things for you…
It will ensure you power through and don’t stop every time you say one little thing wrong.
It will also keep your video in a powerful place. Facebook Live gets crazy engagement compared to other forms of video.
It’s fast. Do you remember how busy you are? Do you really have hours to do 10 takes before you get it right? Of course not! I can be “in and out” of a Facebook Live in 5-minutes. It’s awesome!
After you finish it, before you post it, tap the save button, then you’ll have a high def copy of the video on your camera roll to start the Content Compounding process.
Before we wrap up, remember this, I’m just trying to help! The bottom line, knock out your video however you can get it done. Without it, this entire process fails.
If you need help, let me know! But next up I’ll teach you how to leverage YouTube and the thumbnail.
