So You Think You're Boring?

Curiosity: a strong desire to know or learn something.

It is the word above that consumes us all.

We are all curious. Whether you think you are or not…let me clear it up for you…YOU ARE.

No one goes through life with blinders on.

We constantly have our heads on a swivel watching the people around us.

This is why you aren’t boring.

This is why people care more about who you are, what you do and what you think than you think they do.

We all think our lives are boring.

If you listen to celebrities get interviewed, they too, do not believe their lives are exciting.

We watch their lives and can’t wait to hear every detail, but they don’t see it that way.

Here’s why you’re not boring…

#1 - There is not another you.

Plain and simple…you are the only you there will ever be.

If you were a card in a pack of football cards…you’d be numbered 1 of 1.

Cards numbered 1 of 1 are always the most expensive cards in the set…because there’s ONLY ONE!

It’s time that you start embracing yourself for who you are.

Stop seeing it as a bad thing, if you do. Start leveraging your uniqueness!

#2 - Someone looks up to you.

No matter what you think, someone on this planet looks up to you and thinks you’re awesome!

They value your opinion.

They want to copy you.

They are paying attention.

*you don’t believe me? Go do a Facebook Live video…if you get ZERO views…I’ll let you be right.

#3 - Look around at what you’ve accomplished.

One of my favorite pastors says…

“You may not be where you want to be, but thank God you’re not where you used to be.”

Stop being so dang hard on yourself.

If you truly don’t think you’ve accomplished anything…then you just don’t realize that you are spending your time comparing your “behind the scenes” to everyone else’s “highlight reels.”

NO ONE is doing as GOOD as they want you to think that they are.

Also, NO ONE is doing as BAD as they think that they are either.

Stop reading for just a moment and make a quick list of the things you are proud of.

Do you have your list?

Was it longer than you thought it would be?

Did dig deep?

As I type this…I’m on the home stretch of keeping my children alive by myself for three full days!

And I’m not gonna lie…I’m pretty darn stoked about that! Hahaha.

If you are having a hard time coming up with something…quit being so hard on yourself.

So, here’s your homework…

  1. Go ask five people to tell you a quality they admire in you.

  2. Actually make the list that I told you too earlier…you know you didn’t actually stop and do it.

This is one of the greatest myths that people buy into that keep you from leveraging video in your life and business.

If you aren’t doing as much video as you should…maybe this is why?
