Have you ever said that? “Social media just isn’t my thing…”
I speak and teach between 10-15 times a month to Realtors and Loan Officers and I hear this every single day.
We fix this in three ways…
#1 - Get Over It.
There are things in life that are non-negotiable…like gravity. You know what isn’t far behind? VIDEO!
Think about this…
Video is the only form of video that works for you while you’re not working.
Do you want to do more with less? Start using video in your business. Because while you’re sleeping, on vacation, at a listing appointment or writing up a loan, people are still watching your videos.
They are making decisions to use you or not whether you’re available to speak to them or not. It’s powerful!
#2 - Embrace Your “Suckiness.”
The greatest weapon against our fears of video are to tackle them head on. If you are super nervous, say it out loud in the beginning of your video.
If you are worried about people being able to tell you are nervous, then you say it out loud, you just took the fear away! Now you won’t wonder if they think you’re nervous or not, because they already know!
This is what public speakers do all the time. And it works…I’ve used this technique for 15 years.
Here’s the reality…your situation isn’t going to get better…YOU MUST GET BETTER! And you only get better is by embracing your “suckiness.”
#3 - Just Do ONE.
Don’t overwhelm yourself with a big elaborate plan, just do one!
If you “over plan,” you’ll quit before you get started.
